We introduced these beautiful Horn Cups and Goblets after overwhelming demand from our customers. So many people have come in to the store asking for a horn cup, that we simply had to oblige.

Hand crafted, from certified free ranging cattle in the UK, every goblet we sell has been hand crafted and finished to the same high standards as our regular drinking horns. They come ready to serve up your favourite beverage.

Each goblet is a one off, custom cut from a curved piece of horn, according to its natural shape and grain, which means exact capacity can be difficult to judge. So to make things as easy as possible we’ve divided our Horn Cups into two convenient sizes.

Our large Horn Cups are at least 15cm high and contain between 9 and 12 fluid ounces (250-350ml), while the smaller Horn Cups are at least 11cm tall and hold between 5 and 9 fluid ounces (150-250ml).

Like we said, our new horn cups came about following countless requests from our customers, and to be honest it’s taken us a long time to perfect a design that we’re happy with. That’s because making a high quality horn goblet is a complicated and tricky business that takes a lot of time and effort…

At first we tried using a section of horn for the base of these cups, but we found that within a year or so they began to shrink. So we went back to the drawing board and came up with a new kind of base, made from a durable and long lasting perspex, which we can confidently guarantee will remain water-tight.

Caring for Your Horn Cup

Our horn cups can be treated just like a normal glass or mug. To keep them clean, we suggest warm soapy water and a good rinse, rather than popping them in the dishwasher, as the humid conditions aren’t good for natural products like horns.

To maintain the shine and finish of your horn cup, and keep it looking as good as new, we do suggest occasionally rubbing a little Vaseline onto the outside.
